Dataset Description
This dataset contains Consumer Price Index (CPI) forecast data for food items in the USA from 2002 to 2023. It consists of 41,624 rows and 6 columns:
- consumer_price_index_item – The food category (e.g., Dairy products, All food, etc.).
- month_of_forecast – The month in which the forecast was made.
- year_of_forecast – The year in which the forecast was made.
- year_being_forecast – The year for which the forecast applies.
- attribute – The type of forecast data (e.g., Lower bound, Upper bound, Midpoint of prediction interval).
- forecast_percent_change – The predicted percentage change in the CPI.
