Context
The Sustainable Development Report (SDR) tracks annual progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by all 193 UN Member States in 2015. At the midpoint to the 2030 target, the Sustainable Development Report 2023 evaluates global and national efforts toward achieving the SDGs and identifies key priorities to reinvigorate and accelerate progress. Released just ahead of the 2023 Paris Summit for a New Global Financial Pact, this edition places special emphasis on the urgent need to scale up development finance and reform the global financial system to better support sustainable development.
