Access to safe drinking water is essential for maintaining good health, is recognized as a basic human right, and forms a crucial part of effective public health policy. It is a key issue in health and development at national, regional, and local levels. In some areas, studies have demonstrated that investments in water supply and sanitation provide net economic benefits, as the savings from reduced health impacts and healthcare costs exceed the investment required for such interventions.
The water_potability.csv file contains water quality measurements for 3,276 different water sources.
This dataset can be used to analyze which chemical properties are most strongly associated with water safety. Insights from such analysis can support targeted efforts to improve water quality and public health outcomes.
