About the Dataset

Context

The dataset used in the project contains comprehensive player data from FIFA Career Mode, covering versions FIFA 15 through FIFA 23. It enables in-depth longitudinal analyses of players across nine editions of the game, offering valuable insights into trends, performance metrics, and development patterns.

Potential Analysis Ideas:
  • Messi vs. Ronaldo: A Historical Comparison
Track how specific skill attributes evolved over time for these iconic players and compare the trends with their real-life careers.
  • Building a Competitive Squad on a Budget
Determine the optimal budget required to assemble a competitive 11-man team comparable to top European clubs. Evaluate the point at which additional spending yields diminishing returns, using both Overall and Potential ratings.
  • Attribute Trends Among Top Players
Analyze whether key attributes like Agility, Ball Control, and Strength have been consistently favored among the top 5% of players across different FIFA versions.
